The low-down on who we are and what we do.

Buzzards Mountain Bike Club was formed over 10 years ago by current riders Kim and Marcus, with more and more people joining as the years go by - to date, there's over 20 members!

We meet at 7.00pm every Tuesday evening at Stockgrove Country Park, usually cycling over to Woburn and back again - off-road of course!! The ride usually lasts about 2 hours or so, covering approx 15 mile and takes us through some technical singletrack, some fast down hills and of course, superb scenery. More often than not, we usually break into two groups - catering for all abilities. Fast or slow, male or female - all are welcome!!

We cycle all year round, braving the 'Great' British Winter, or is that Summer, these days?!!? Bright lights are required to enable safe and enjoyable trail riding during the dark evenings (approx September - March).

Several of us meet up again (for morning punishment) on a Sunday at 7am for a (quick?!) ride around Woburn - yes, that's 7am!!

Once a month we meet at a local pub to chat about up and coming rides and events, and discuss the club in general. This is seen as a good opportunity for some members to simply get drunk - cool!!

We also try and arrange a monthly 'Thursday Night Ride', in a different location and a regular 'all-day-Sunday-Epic ride' once per month too.

If you enjoy the club and riding as much as we do, you're welcome to become a club member after a few initial rides! There is a nominal anual subscription fee to join Buzzards MTB of £40 - which when you concider what you get, ain't a busting lot!!

Your £40 buys you forest permits, entitling you to ride hundreds of miles of beautifully kept trails - that's KEPT trails!! Oh yeah, and your £40 also buys you insurance too - that's right, you'll be INSURED whilst riding too!! Your £40 also buys you membership in to CTC (Cyclist Touring Club) - a national cycling organisation with over 60,000 members, organising over 10,000 rides anually.

Heck, it'll cost you £5 to ride at wendover woods for just one day! So, £40 ain't so bad for a year! Please note : Buzzards MTB Club does NOT make ANY profit whatsoever from membership.
